Bringing Life, through the Word, to the World

LogosLife exists to:

'Bring life, through the Word, to the World'

so that

lives may be transformed to glorify Christ

through

more clearly understanding the message of the gospel and its application for daily life.

We do this through our personnel who, alongside national workers, are researching, developing, teaching and distributing culturally relevant materials for evangelism and discipleship.

It is our goal to help individuals and churches to know and live the gospel and more effectively fulfil the great commission of making disciples of all the nations.

Statement of Faith

The Bible

We believe the Bible, comprised of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, inerrant in its original writings to be the inspired Word of God, the complete and final authority, sufficient for all matters of life and conduct.

God

We believe in the one true and Living God, infinite Spirit, perfect in all His attributes, who by His sovereign will created the universe.  Eternally existing in three distinct Persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, He is one in being, essence, and glory, deserving of all honour, glory and praise forever.

- God the Father

We believe in God the Father, the first person of the Trinity, and that He orders all things according to His own purpose and grace.  As Creator He is Father to all men, but He is spiritual Father only to believers.  We believe He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers our prayers.  We believe that He saves from sin and death all those who come to Him through His one and only Son, Jesus Christ and that He adopts them as His own and becomes, upon adoption, Father to His own.

- Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ.  He is God incarnate, the expressed image of the Father, who, without ceasing to be God, became man in order that He might demonstrate who God is and provide the means of salvation for humanity.  We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived of the Holy Spirit and was born of the virgin Mary and lived a sinless life.  We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ suffered and died on the cross for all humanity bearing their sin and its guilt, shame and punishment, as a substitutionary sacrifice.  We believe in His literal, physical resurrection from the dead and His ascension to Heaven in His glorified body and He is now seated at the right hand of God as our High Priest and Advocate and is preparing a place for those He has saved.

- The Holy Spirit

We believe in the deity and personality of the Holy Spirit.  He convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgement, regenerates sinners, and indwells believers sanctifying and empowering them with all that is needed for life and godliness to live for God’s glory.  We believe that the Holy Spirit sovereignly distributes spiritual gifts to equip all God’s people for ministry, in order to build up the Body of Christ.

Angels and Demons

We believe in the reality and personality of angels who are created spirit beings.  We believe in the existence and personality of Satan and demons who are fallen angels who will be eternally punished in the lake of fire.

Mankind

We believe that humanity came into existence by direct creation of God and is uniquely made in the image of God.  We believe that through Adam’s sin of disobedience to the revealed will of God, all mankind has fallen from its original state and that all succeeding members of the human race, Jesus Christ being the only exception, have inherited a sinful nature, are hopelessly lost and under the condemnation of God to eternal punishment in hell.

Salvation

We believe that salvation from the penalty, consequences and power of sin is a gift of God’s grace through faith alone in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross through His shed blood and substitutionary death, and His resurrection three days later.  The believer is eternally secure in salvation, kept by God’s power, secured and sealed in Christ forever.  Good works and changed lives lived for the glory of God, are the inevitable results of salvation.

The Church

We believe that the Church, the Body of Christ, is a living spiritual body made up of all believers of this present age of which Christ is the Head and all regenerated persons are members.  We believe in the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper.  We believe in Christ’s Great Commission to go into all the world and preach the gospel to all people making disciples, baptizing and teaching disciples to obey all that Christ commands.

The Future

We believe in the blessed hope, the personal, bodily and imminent coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to the earth in power and glory and to judge the living and the dead.  We believe in the physical resurrection of all people – the saints to everlasting joy and bliss in Heaven, and the wicked to eternal punishment, banished from God forever in Hell.
